Spent a gorgeous day touring gardens and visiting a working sheep station where we had lunch. The station is family owned and operated and they offer tours and incredible farm style home cooking for lunch in the garden. The father trains his own sheep dogs and demonstrated their herding skills for us. In one shot below you can see a New Zealand Huntaway dog running on the backs of the sheep. He uses two breeds; one brings the sheep to him as the Huntaway waits patiently by and then when called, the Huntaway runs the sheep back out to their pastures. Incredible. The photo of the little girl in the pink shirt is taken in the woolshed where we had a sheering demonstration. We were both sitting on giant bales of wool ready for market. The whole place smelled like lanolin and dust.
I love the all the sheep!!!
